Mindstar was founded in 2014 by Aaron and Khayt Williams - with a clinical infrastructure and a conviction that the people needing the most support were the ones least likely to ask for help. We set out to change that and Mindstar was born.
Built together.
With purpose.
Aaron came to this work through his own experience. In 2003, he lost a close friend - and in the aftermath, discovered just how hard it was to find the right support. Not because it didn't exist, but because getting to it required navigating a system that wasn't built for people who were still showing up, still performing, still carrying it quietly.
Khayt brought the other half of what Mindstar needed: deep expertise in corporate culture, operations, and how organisations actually work. Together, they saw the same gap from different angles - and decided to close it.
In 2014, Aaron and Khayt built Mindstar - combining Aaron's clinical credentials as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with Khayt's operational and strategic expertise. The result was something that has grown into a coaching organisation with genuine clinical infrastructure, built for the people least likely to ask for help through the usual channels.
The mission hasn't changed: make it easier for leaders to access the right support - without the friction, the exposure, or the hoop jumping that stops most from starting.
