“Those voices are just noise…turn around and walk straight into it!” Dameyon Bonson is the founder of Black Rainbow, a social enterprise on a mission to prevent Indigenous LGBQTI suicide and self harm. Dameyon passionately recounts his journey of advocacy for LGBQTI acceptance within Aboriginal communities and beyond. Dameyon demands organisations and individuals alike take action, speak up, and question the root cause of suicide, racism and ignorance rather than allow it to continue to erode our communities while reminding us that truth, love and understanding are the most powerful weapons to bring us towards reconciliation and progress.
